The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Hiawassee announces memorial services for Mrs. Lucille Margaret Wilson, age 82 of Hiawassee who passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 18, 2012.

Mrs. Lucille Wilson was born on June 10, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas to the late William & Beatrice Torres Cotten. She met her husband, Heyward in San Antonio on New Years Eve of 1964 and vowed to spend the rest of there lives together on June 4, 1965. Lucille was a vibrant and passionate woman who was very family oriented . She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She passed on to those young ones a sense of family, instilled values and even shared some of her feistiness. You would never have to wonder were you stood in her eyes. She had an essence of confidence and family or friends knew it was "Ma's way or the highway"! Every Sunday family and friends would come and gather to enjoy some home made flour tortillas. She was very talented in the kitchen and kept it so warm and inviting always finding something special to create including a cobbler style dish that the family had affectionately dubbed Apple "Stuff". She enjoyed the outdoors, but really loved the ocean and the many adventures she and Heyward had.

Lucille will be fondly remembered by all who knew her, but especially missed by her family: loving husband of 47 years, Heyward Wilson; daughter, Michelle Perry; son, Marcus Wilson; Grandchildren. Jessica Daniel, Jonathan Wilson & Lydia Lawrence; and great grandchildren, Jared Edwards, Felicity Beck, Devon Beck, Logan Daniel, Jacob Wilson, Ava Daniel & Mikey Wilson.
