Maggie Ruth Harper (Walden)

April 29, 1932 — January 11, 2013

Mrs. Maggie Ruth Harper, age 80 of Blue Ridge, passed away January 11, 2013 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Maggie was born April 29, 1932 in Fannin County, GA to the late Henry and Ida Panter Walden. A member of Salem # 2 Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Ada Walden, husband, Raymond Harper, sister, Nancy Davis, and brother, Howard Walden. She enjoyed crocheting in her spare time and she was a people person, she loved her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include: a niece and nephew raised as her own, Dianna Davis Housley of McCaysville and Chuck Davis of Blue Ridge, sister, Anna Mae Wright of McCaysville, sister, Margie Nazerian of Kennesaw, GA, sister, Linda (A.C.) Caylor of Mineral Bluff, sister, Yvonne (James) Dills of Marietta, GA, brother, Douglas (Evelyn) Walden of Mineral Bluff, brother-in-law, William Harper of Mineral Bluff and also many nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors and church family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Bell, Rev. Paul Young and Rev. Randy Hooper officiating. Music provided by the Caylor family. Interment will follow in the Union Baptist church Cemetery. Pallbearer will be Maggie's nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
