Mark Douglas Clem, age 54, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at Chatuge Regional Hospital.
Mark was born in Burlington, NC May 28, 1956 to David and Jean Frank Clem. He graduated from the University of Georgia-Terry College of Business in 1978. Mark had been a resident of Hiawassee for 16 years and was Director of National Accounts for Drake Software in Franklin, NC. He was an active member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church.
Mark is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cindy Clem and their two beautiful children Megan and Ryan Clem of Hiawassee, GA, his parents, David and Jean Clem of Hiawassee, GA, brother & sister-in-law, Steven and Susan Clem of Atlanta, GA, brother & sister-in-law, Kerry and Melanie Clem of Hiawassee, GA, aunt and uncle, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mark will be held Friday, September 10, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Don Pickerill officiating. Interment will follow in Osborn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David, Steven, Kerry, Ryan, Kevin and Blake Clem. Honorary pallbearers will be Terrance Clem and Robert Brantley.
The family will receive friends at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church on Friday from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions in Mark's memory be made to McConnell Memorial Baptist Church Legacy Fund @ PO Box 235, Hiawassee, GA. 30546.
