Mrs. Mary Jo Nichols, age 76, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Copperbasin Life Care Center .
Mrs. Nichols was born on March 28, 1933 in Fannin Co., GA, to the late Lake and Hattie Turner Auberry. She had been an active member of Mineral Bluff Baptist. She was preceded in death by husband, Roy L. "Cotton" Nichols, brother, Howard Auberry.
Survivors include: daughters Theresa (Randall) Queen, Robin (Tim) Cook, both of Morganton, son, Jimmy (Joanna) Nichols, grandchildren, Chad Queen, Julia (Ryan) Watson, Kaitlin Hopkins, Wyatt Nichols, Millie Burger, Justin Cook and Jacob Cook, great grandchildren, Chance Watson, Chesney Watson, Chanley Watson and Jessie Queen.
Funeral services will be held , Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Mineral Bluff Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Payne, Rev. Gary Parris and Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Music will be provided by A.C. Caylor & Family and Lucy McKinney. Pallbearers will be; Tom Bryant, Greg Nazerian, Ulas Thomas, Jack Gibson, Spencer Kitchens, Billy Campbell.
Burial will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park .
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
