Mary Prince Parker

Mary Prince Parker of Morganton, Georgia, died in her home on November 30, 2015.
She was born July 3, 1931 in Kite, Georgia to the late Lester C. Prince and Nancy Harrison Prince.

Mrs. Parker retired from a career in early childhood education after 33 years. She was active in her church, Temple Baptist Church, her Sunday school class, the church choir, and the Prime Time Choir of McCaysville. Her love for the Lord was manifest in her years of service in the classroom and community.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Harold Parker. A son Barry M. Parker (Jennifer) of Dublin, GA; two grandchildren, Harrison Parker and Megan Parker of Dublin, GA; two sisters, Jean Moore and Martha Helton of Morganton, GA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; beloved friends; and a special caregiver, Tammy Payne.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Georgia located at 3911 Appalachian Highway, Blue Ridge, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church, 28 High Country Circle, Morganton, Georgia, and Interment at Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery.
