Mary Ruth Griggs, age 74 of Andrews, NC, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at her residence.
Mary Ruth was born September 28, 1935 in Cherokee County, NC to the late Grayson and Cordie Blaylock Parker. She was a member of Valley River Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Joseph Lynn & Jan Griggs of Murphy, NC, daughter & son-in-law, Joan & Randall Moss of Marble, NC, daughter & son-in-law, Renee & Larry Caldwell of Chickamauga, GA, brother, Desmond Parker of Andrews, NC, sister, Betty Jean Dockery of Murphy, NC, sister, Louise Stiles of Andrews, NC, brother, Larry Anderson of Andrews, NC, grandchildren, Christie Hawley, Nicole Matheson, Autumn Brinke, Serena Blanken, Zach Griggs and Kiffney Griggs, great grandchildren, Taylor Blanken, Kannon Blanken, Chloe Matheson, Isaiah Matheson, Hailey Brinke and Ezekiel Brinke. Several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. from the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Moss and Rev. Calvin Murphy officiating. Music will be provided by, Vickie Martin and Medra Palmer. Interment will be in Moss Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are, Rick Anderson, Zach Griggs, Jeff Rowland, Jacob Hawley, Chris Matheson and Jeremiah Brinke.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 17, 2010 from 5-7 P.M. at the church.
