Mary Sue Williamson

Mrs. Mary Sue Williamson, age 80 of Murphy, went home to be with her Lord September 26, 2015 at Murphy Medical Center. Mrs. Williamson was born March 8, 1935 in Macon county, NC to the late Claude and Eldie Bateman. A member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Williamson, Jr., her son, Alan Edwin Williamson, and her brothers, T A, Johnny, Todd, Charles, and Jerry Bateman.

Survivors include: daughter, Penny (Steve) Golden, sister, Geneva Mosteller, grandson, Brandon (Lindsay) Chastain, special brother, James (Wanda) Bateman, brother, Wendall Bateman, and brother Morris Bateman.

Funeral services: Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Crisp and Rev. Ned Golden officiating. Music provided by: The Golden Sisters. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel cemetery. Pallbearers: Brandon Chastain, Alan Nichols, Andy Morrow, David Handford, Jeremy Ferguson and Jason Collis. Honorary pallbearers: Steve Golden.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 5-8 pm.
