Maynard Neal

Maynard Neal, age 94 of Canton, passed away July 8, 2013 at Heritage Hospice. He was born July 27, 1918 in Union County, GA to the late Samuel H. and the late Jennie Reid Neal. He was a member of Hickory Road Baptist Church in Holly Springs, a Gideon and a former member and deacon of Morganton Baptist Church.. He retired from city service after 37 years of service. He was preceded in death by wife, Myrtice Guthrie Neal and sister, Mildred Neal Parks.

Survivors include: son, James (Christine) Neal, grandson, Alan (Bobbie) Neal. granddaughter, Valerie (Dr. Benjamin) Tipping, great granddaughters, Abigail and Ava Neal.

Funeral services: Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Garry Barber and Rev. Bryan Edenfield officiating. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be Wayne Dillard, Jerry Jenkins, Ulas Thomas, Leon Guthrie, Tom Guthrie and Carlton Guthrie.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday, July 09, 2013 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
