Michael Raymond Garbach

Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces funeral services for Michael Raymond Garbach, age 70 of Blairsville, who passed away Saturday evening, October 15, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Garbach was born in Rochester, New York, a son of the late Raymond Garbach and Jane Minkau Garbach. He and his wife, Paula, moved to Blairsville 8 years ago from Atlanta, where he had worked for Scientific Atlanta. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blairsville.

Family members left behind to treasure Michael's memory include his loving wife, Paula; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Trisha Wolf, of Omaha, Nebraska; son, Christopher Wolf, of Dallas, Texas; and son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Jessica Garbach, of Atlanta; brothers: Glenn (Julia) Garbach, of Rochester, New York; Tom (Mary) Garbach, Kansas City, Kansas; Ray (Kathy) Garbach, Jim (Maureen) Garbach, and John Garbach; sister, Mary Jane (Bob) Fry, all of Rochester, New York; Grandchildren: Blake, Courtney, Gage, Chloe, Tyler, Grace, Lindsey, Garrett, and Luke; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral mass will be held Friday, October 21, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with Father Juan Areiza officiating. Burial will be held locally.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, October 20, 2016, at the funeral home between the hours of 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
