Minnis Pearl Johnson (Bryson)

July 13, 1927 — October 16, 2010

Minnis Pearl Bryson Johnson, 83, of Ogreeta Community went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2010 at 1:45 pm. She had her husband and many family members around her bed. Minnis was a very devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was a native of Cherokee County. She was the daughter of the late Pearl and Gertie Mae Sneed Bryson. She was a very dedicated house wife and homemaker. She was of the Church of God faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Eddie Dockery; three sisters, Leighora Bryson, Edna Dockery, and Dossie Kephart.
She is survived by her husband of of 64 years, Wayne Johnson; six daughters, Shirley and William Hayes of Unaka, Cathey Farmer of Ogreeta, Helen and L.C. Killian of Ogreeta, Margie and Danny Moss of Hayesville, Evelyn and Mike Clayton of Peachtree, Pam and John Dementry of Ogreeta; one son, Carl Johnson of Murphy; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will recieve friends from 6-8 pm, Monday evening at the Cochran Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday evening in the funeral home chapel. The Reverend David Watson will be officiating and music will be provided by Harold and Barbara Lovingood. Serving as Pallbearers will be Scott Dockery, Jeff Dockery, Jason O'Dell, William Debty, John Dementry and David Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be the remaining grandchildren. Burial will be in the Ogreeta Cemetery.
