Mr. Henry Charles Russell

Mr. Henry Charles Russell, Jr., age 84, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.

Mr. Russell was born in Miami, Florida, on September 16, 1930, a son of the late Henry Charles Russell, Sr., and the late Viola Gallagher Russell Dillon. He was a firefighter for Miami-Dade County Fire Department, and was a pioneer - one of the first in the nation - to be a fireman-medic. Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Cathryn Louise Luke Russell; and three children: Mike Wayne Russell, Keith Lee Russell, and Vicki Lee Russell.

Surviving family members include daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Glenn Bates; son, Gary Allen Russell; granddaughter, Holly Janarrone; grandson, Nikki Bates; great grandsons: Kyle Janarrone and Ronn Janarrone.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.at Coosa United Methodist Church, with the family meeting with friends for one hour prior to the service.
