Myrtle Marie Collins (Hayes)

Myrtle Marie Collins, age 95 of Morganton, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Heritage Health Care Center in Blue Ridge. Mrs. Collins was born February 24, 1916 in Fannin County, GA to the late Claude Hayes and the late Nebraska Bruce Hayes . She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and loved taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Collins.

Survivors include: daughters, Sue Collis, Doris (James) Daves, Diane (Bill) Smith, son, Nelson (Ann) Collins, sister, Opal Boling, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren,several neices and nephews also survive.

Funeral services: Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Garren officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Friday, August 05, 2011 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
