Mrs. Nell Elizabeth Bates Smith, age 88, of Copperhill, TN, died November 1, 2010 at the Life Care of Copper Basin. Nell was born on November 12, 1928 to Flavis and Bertie Lewis Bates. She was a member of the Mine City Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, Henry Smith, Sr.; her parents; brothers, Amos, Spence, Lynn, and F.E.; sisters, Sudie, Chatta, and Donna.
Survivors include: son & wife, Henry Dall "Buddy" & Virginia Smith Jr., son, David Edgar& Jenny Smith; son& wife, L. W. & Pat Smith; sister, Wilma Hawkins; brother, J. P. Bates; five grandchildren, Lance Smith, Terry Smith, Chad Smith, Kristy Reinhardt, and Kevin Smith; ten great grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services: Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, tonight, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. with The Rev. Keith Smith officiating and music will be provided by Chad and Lance Smith. Serving as pallbearers will be Lance Smith, Terry Smith, Chad Smith, Kevin Smith, Slade Reinhardt, and Myron Hawkins.
Visitation will be tonight, before the service, at 5:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
