Neoma Lucille Stanley

Neoma Lucille Stanley, age 77 of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday January 10, 2017 at Union County Nursing Home. Neoma was born December 26, 1939 in Culberson, NC to the late Van Buren Spivey and the late Pauline Gaddis Spivey. Ms. Stanley was of Baptist faith, and in her spare time she enjoyed knitting, gardening and tending to her flowers. She was predeceased by her parents, Van Buren and Pauline Spivey, sisters, Vondell Rice and Linda Sue Spivey.

Survivors include: sister, Josephine Millholland, brother, Charles (Mary Sue) Spivey, brother-in-law, Bethel Rice, two nephews, Stephen Rolston and Van Millholland, niece, Jennifer (Reg) Miller, two great-nephews, Micah Rolston and Joey Rolston.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Don Hood officiating. Pallbearers will be Members of New Canaan Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
