Nettie Roberta Drake, age 78 of Young Harris, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Union General Hospital.
Mrs. Drake was born in Bartow County, GA to the late Ervin Everett and Hattie (Satterfield) Everett . She was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church Blairsville, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Drake, a sister, Ervalene Hedden, and a grandson, Jason Bailey.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Barbara Willis of Talking Rock, GA, daughter, Joanne Bailey of Stone Mountain, Ga, grandson, 1st Class Petty Officer Jeremy Willis, granddaughter, Ashley Brooks, grandson, David Bailey, 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Lloyd Everett, Herbert Everett, Ed Everett, and MacArthur Everett all of Blairsville, Ga, many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Zebulon Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Music will be provided by Pat McCall, David Chatham, Junior and Carolyn Bridges. Interment will follow in in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Webster, Jack Cochran, Stacy Stephens, Judd Dayton, Leonard Sosebee, Brett Chatham.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, July 29, 2009, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to American Cancer Society P.O. Box 2984 Blairsville, GA. 30514.
