Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces funeral services for Mr. Otis Roger Smith, age 75, of Hiawassee, who passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
Mr. Smith born in Commerce, Georgia, on January 24, 1936, a son of Alma Louise Hendrix Smith and the late Robert E. Smith. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and faithful companion. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Luzelle Nicholson Smith, and his middle daughter, Sandra Elizabeth Smith.
He is survived by his daughters, Ginger Littleton of Reynoldsburg, OH, and Lynn (Brad) Banks of Dallas, GA; 8 grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Justin, and Hannah Banks of Dallas, GA, T.J. Littleton, Jr. of Canal Winchester OH, Amber (Erik) Capwell of Galena, OH, Jason Littleton of Dripping Springs, TX, Meredith Smith of Woodstock, GA, two great-grandsons, Kain Littleton of Reynoldsburg, OH, and Connor Capwell of Galena, OH; great- granddaughter, Ashley Poling; loving companion, Geraldine Swartz of Murphy, NC, and many friends and family.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 14, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee with Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Hiawassee on Thursday, October 13, 2011, from the hours of 6 until 9 p.m.
