Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death of Mrs. Pauline Conley, age 90, of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 in Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville.

Mrs. Conley was born in Toccoa, Georgia, on September 27, 1919, a daughter of the late Virgel Oscar Watkins and the late Julia Alice Stephens Watkins. She was a homemaker and a member of Zebulon Baptist Church in Blairsville. Mrs. Conley had been preceded in death by her husband, the late Josiah Eugene "Gene" Conley; a daughter, Doris Kelly; a son, Eugene Conley, III; and a brother, Tommy Watkins.

Surviving family members include daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jerry Stover, of Oakwood, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Ina Conley, of Blairsville; a brother, Raymond Watkins, and a sister, Mabel Rich, both of Blairsville; four grandchildren: Jan McGiboney, Melinda Young, Jerry Stover II, and Barry Stover; nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. Brent Chatham officiating. Special music will be presented by The Kelley Trio. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Jerry Stover, Welchel Garrett, David Chatham, Rusty McGiboney, Tyler McGiboney, and John Young. Burial will be in Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
