Mr. Philip Browne Messina, age 81 of Blue Ridge, passed away Wednesday August 3, 2016 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Messina was born September 5, 1934 in Apalachicola, FL to the late Joseph Messina and the late Clara Browne Messina. Mr. Messina was preceded in death by son, John R.C. Messina and his parents

Philip served his country in the U.S.Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include: wife, Carol Messina, son & daughter-in-law, Ronald (Lynnley) Messina of Gainesville, Ga. and brother, Charles Messina of Chamblee, GA.

Funeral services: , Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Elljay, GA, with the first counselor Craig Chester officiating. Interment will follow in Big Canoe Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA . Friday, August 5, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
