Mr. Raymond Klepinger, age 101, of Hiawassee, GA passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Chatuge Regional Hospital in Hiawassee, Georgia.
Raymond was born on December 16, 1907 in Montgomery County Ohio, to the late Charles and Sarah Sollenberger Klepinger. He was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church and a former member of Salem Church of the Brethren in Phillipsburg, OH. Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years, Mary Brumbaugh Klepinger and a brother, Samuel Klepinger.
Survivors include: wife of 21 years, Mildred Klepinger of Hiawassee, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Faith and Phillip VanZanten of Plainsfield, IL, daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Ray Wine of Hiawassee, GA, step-son and wife, Gene and Henrietta Brumbaugh of Hiawassee, GA, step-son and wife, Winston and Jeannie Brumbaugh of Arcanum, OH, 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 12 great-great granchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 13 step great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the McConnell Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Don Pickerill and Dr. Benny Pate officiataing. Music will be provided by Lee Worley and Raymond's grandchildren. Burial will be Monday, September 21, 2009 in Bethel Cemetery in Clayton, Ohio.
The family will recive friends Friday, September 18, 2009 at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church from 1-2:00 P.M..
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to McConnell Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund.
