Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces the death of Mrs. Reba Chastain Walls, age 87 of Hiawassee who passed away on October 11th, 2020 at Union General Hospital.
Mrs. Walls was born on January 23rd, 1933 to the late William Joe and Nola Jane (Shook) Chastain. Reba was a lifelong resident of Towns Conty, and worked as a Nurse for Chatuge Regional Hospital. She was also a member of Union Hill Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ferman Walls; son, Gary Walls; and brothers, Vaughn Chastain, Jay Chastain, Sr., and L.V. Chastain.
Survivors include her sons, Larry and Curtis Walls both of Hiawassee, GA; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Nelson Chastain of Hiawassee, Beatrice Creed of Hiawassee, and Ervin Chastain of Stone Mountain, GA.
Due to the concerns of COVID-19, funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Burch Cemetery with Derek Walls, Tommy Eberhardt, Jeff Creed, and Trey Chastain all serving as pallbearers.
