Rebecca Nicewonger Krause, age 54 of Murphy, NC, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Murphy Medical Center.
Rebecca was born Friday, January 7, 1955 in Allegheny Co. PA. to the late Carl Clinton Nicewonger and the late Margaret Fogle Nicewonger. She moved to Murphy in1994 from FL. Rebecca was the owner of Rebecca's New Image. She was a member of Hanging Dog Baptist Church, and was a honorary member of the Marine Corps League, Detachment # 1011, and was an active participant in Relay For Life.
Survivors include: Special Friend, Robert Bettis of Murphy, N.C., step-son, Bobby Bettis, Jr of Murphy, NC, good friend, Arlene Graham of Port Charlotte, FL.
Memorial services will be held Friday, May 22, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. from the Hanging Dog Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Ford officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church after the service.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, North Carolina is in charge of arrangements.
