Richard Eckert Gleason

Richard Eckert Gleason, age 65, of Mineral Bluff, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Gleason was born September 4, 1955, in Dobbs Ferry, NY, to the late Donald Gleason and Alice Schrader Gleason. He was of the Baptist faith and had made Fannin County his home for the past six years after moving from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Rich retired from Lexus of Jacksonville after 30 years in sales and was a former school board member in New Jersey. He enjoyed traveling, photography, feeding the animals on his property, and taking care of his home. He was also an excellent cook and enjoyed grilling out and hosting parties and celebrations with family. He was a very giving man who loved his family. Rich was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gleason.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Walker Gleason, mother, Alice Schrader Gleason, children, Michael Gleason, Shannon Gleason, step-children, Jeff (Jennifer Young) Laberge, Erin (John Jones) Laberge, Joey (Courtney Laberge) Laberge, sister, Margaret (Denny) Gleason Gaultney, brothers, Doug (Martha) Gleason and Ned (Donna) Gleason, grandchildren, Keegan, Kaitlyn, Mackenzie, Bryce, Hannah, Kileigh, Maverick, Gracie, and Paityn along with nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Rich's life will be planned for a later date in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
