The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces Graveside Services for Rolyn Stanley Massey, age 84 who passed away on Thursday morning, October 28, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Massey was born in Sanford, Georgia on February 26, 1937. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Business. He worked in the construction industry building spec houses and later specialized in electrical. He also graduated from Oglethorpe University and taught middle school mathematics.
Mr. Massey was a devout Christian- having come to faith as an adult. He was very active within his church congregation at Providence Presbyterian Church in Watkinsville, Georgia having served as an elder and deacon. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian in Blairsville.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 57 years, Barry Massey; daughter & son-in-law, Susan & Jason Patrick; son, Jeremy Zack Massey; and granddaughter, Rachel Justis. Rolyn was preceded in death by his parents, Otha & Hazel Massey.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Richard Russell Scenic Hwy..
