Roy Otis Stamps , age 81, of Hiawassee, GA passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 in Hiawassee, Georgia.
Roy was born on Thursday, May 17, 1928 in College Park, GA, to the late Oren and Mamie Culberson Stamps. He was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church, a Mason, a Gideon and former member of the Lions Club. He was an Air Force veteran during the Korean War and was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Stamps and Jimmy Stamps.
Survivors include: wife Mary Stamps of Hiawassee, GA; son, Dale Stamps of Hiawassee, GA, daughter, Deborah Stamps of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, grandson, Duane Stamps of Hiawassee, GA, sisters, Elsie Enfinger of Okeechobee, FL and Virginia McCormack of Margate, FL.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 2 P.M. from the McConnell Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Don Pickrell officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to McConnell Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund.
