Ruth Ledford

Ruth "Granny" Ledford, age 94, a life long resident of Copperhill, TN, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Life Care of Basin. Ruth was born in Cherokee, NC to Andrew Jackson Evans and Zenobia Burrell Evans. She was a member of Turtletown Baptist Church.

Ruth was preceded in death by parents, husband, Winford Ledford, grandson, Jeff Cole, and sons-in-law, James A. Mayfield, and Tommy Cole.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, James Edward & Frances Farner, daughter, Barbara Jean Cole, daughter, Gertrude Faye Mayfield, eight grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel Wednedsay evening, August 19, 2009 at 8:00 P.M. with Reverend Renny Whittenbarger officiating. Music provided by Ms. Janice Reid . The family will meet with family and friends from 6:00 until time of service at 8:00 P.M. Interment will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 A.M. at the Turtletown Baptist Church Cemetery.
