Mr. Starr was born May 7, 1933 in Mansfield, GA to the late Elijah W. Starr and the late Pauline Hays Starr.
He graduated from Forest Park High School in 1950. He served in the United States Army before going to work for Delta Airlines where he was a mechanical engineer until his retirement with 41 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Kite Starr; two sisters, Barbara Owen of Prattville, AL, Jane Jenkins of Ball Ground, GA; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
The family will gather on Saturday, June 5, 2010 for a memorial service at 1:00 pm until service time 3:00 pm at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home 3911 Appalachian Hwy, Blue Ridge,GA 30513.
