Seabert James Parsons

September 22, 1934 — October 9, 2015

Mr.Seabert James Parsons, age 81 of Hiawassee, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Parsons was born September 22, 1934 in Waycross, GA to the late Frank Alexander Parsons and the late Elizabeth Verden Parsons. He was a member of the Christ the King Anglican Church in Hiawassee. He had numerous hobbies including canoeing, Kayaking, sailing and building custom houses with his own hands. He also Authored two books and supported Christian orphanages on Honduras and Guatemala. In recent years, he was active with the Senior Center programs, including the "Silver Sneakers". Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by a son, Clay Parsons.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ione Quarterman Parsons, sons, Rusty Parsons and, Chet Parsons, all of Hiawassee, and grandchildren; Jason Parsons, Tyler Parsons, Courtney Parsons, Crystal wood, Elizabeth Ione Parsons, Carla Ann Parsons, and Sophia Julianne Parsons. Many great grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Christ the King Anglican Church with Pastor Don O'Malley officiating.
