Stephen (ferd) Russell

Mr. Stephen (Ferd) Russell, age 86 of Hiawassee, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2009 at Chatuge Regionl Nursing Home. Stephen was born September 16, 1922 in Towns County, GA to the late Stephen and Lacie Moss Russell. He had worked in Oregon for 25 years as a Logger and was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of Bell Scene Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a grandson, Darren Seagle.

Survivors include: daughter, Angela Milian of Clayton, NC, grandson, Nate Milian and many close cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. from Bell Scene Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Anderson, Rev. Clark Moss and Rev. Kevin Moss officiating. Music will be provided by The Moss Family. Interment will follow in Bell Scene Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Junior Bradshaw, Glen Nicholson, Bryant Taylor, Shannon Moss, Daniel Moss and Ketron Moss.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 P.M. Sunday, July 26, 2009.
