Thomas Wayne Abercrombie

Mr. Thomas Wayne Abercrombie, age 82, of Young Harris, GA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was born in Springhill, Alabama to the late Johnny Edmond & Lydia Betty Sims Abercrombie on May 30, 1936.


Wayne had a glowing personality and never met a stranger. He loved making new friends and spending time with old friends. Mr. Abercrombie served in the United States Air Force and was a devoted member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He goes now to meet his parents, as well as, his step-grandson, Jesse Sutton.


Wayne will be remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his loving wife, Judy Ann Busby Abercrombie; children, Dawn Free (Billy) and Dana Abercrombie Cobb; step-children, Debbie Sutton (Dean), Michael Busby, and Mark Busby; grandson, Joshua Morgan Folmar (Rebecca); step-grandchildren, Carrie Ellis (Ryan) and Randy Sutton (Deeanna); step-greatgrandchildren, Avery Sutton, Westin Sutton, Hannah Johnson and Gavin Ellis; sister, Glenda Jean Gunter. Also sharing in his legacy are many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.


Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Jenkins officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Springhill Baptist Church cemetery in Troy, AL with Rev. Mack Lowery officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Ebenezer Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
