Valerie H. Servis, age 45 of Young Harris, GA, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at North East Georgia Medical Center.
Valerie was born Thursday, June 27, 1963 in Fulton Co., Ga. She was a member of Sharp Memorial Methodist Church. Valerie loved animals and gardening. She was preceded in death by a niece, Virginia Dawn Wood.
Survivors include: husband, Chris Servis of Young Harris, GA, parents, James M. and Barbara Hale of Young Harris, GA, daughter, Kristen Nicole Servis of Young Harris, GA, son, Andrew James Servis of Young Harris, GA, son, Ian Christopher Servis of Young Harris, GA, sister , Melanie H. and James C. Beighley of Young Harris, GA, nephew, Joshua James Hale of Kennesaw, GA, niece, Brittany Faith Boyer of Young Harris, GA.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darris Baker, Rev. Fred Whitley officiating. Music will be provided by Jerry Taylor.
The family will receive friends at the Church from 10 until 11 on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Humane Society Mountain Shelter, PO Box 1252 Blairsville, GA 30514.
