William Clifton Williams

Mr. William Clifton Williams, age 87 of McCaysville, Ga, passed away Saturday May 17, 2014 at his home. Mr. Williams was born May 14, 1927 in McCaysville, GA. He had been a very active member of Epworth First Baptist Church.. Clifton also was a US Navy Veteran serving in WW II. He retired from the rail road dept. of City Service Company. He was a former board member of the Copperbasin Federal Credit Union. He was preceded in death by mother, Willa Williams, wife, Billie Frances Long Williams, Brother, Carlton Williams.

Survivors include: children, Zenobia & Tom Ledford, grandson, Tommy Keith (Trish) Ledford, Jr., granddaughter, Alison Ledford (Darren) Danner, great grandson, Tommy Keith Ledford III, great grandson, Hayden Danner, great granddaughter, Tatum Ledford, nephew, Bobby Williams, nephew, Johnny Williams, nephew, Ricky Williams, niece, Vivian Parker.

Funeral services: Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 4:00 pm at the Epworth First Baptist Church with the Dr. Tom Jordon officiating. Music provided by Rev. Doug Simonds. Interment will follow in Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Bobby Williams, Luther Patterson, Carl Curtis, Rod Ledford, Lamar O Neal, Robert Ensley. Honorary pallbearers will be Vicki Jo Seabolt, Hilda Laurel Bailey, Stephanie Foster, Heather and senior choir of Epworth First Baptist Church

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Monday, May 19, 2014 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
