Mr.William Edgar Smith, age 45 of Cherry Log, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his home. William was born June 16, 1967 in Copperhill, TN to James E. Smith and Shirley Patterson Smith. He was of the Baptist faith, he was preceded in death by father, James E. Smith. William enjoyed fishing and woodworking in his spare time.
Survivors include: mother, Shirley Smith, wife, Becky Smith, sister, Linda (John) Brachett, sister, Betty Stewart, brother, James E. (Donna) Smith Jr., son, William Chad (Jeanne) Smith, step-daughter, Cassie Stiles-Lowery, step-daughter, Megan Stiles, step-son, Lucas Stiles, step-son, Kevin Quinton, grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Michayla Smith, Charles Lowery, Lexie Howard, Bethany Stiles, Patton Stiles, Marcus Stiles, Ember Stiles, Baily Stiles, and Addison Stiles, nieces and nephews, David Stewart, Steven Stewart, Tate Haddock, Nancy Haddock, Tiffany Rogers, Brittany Atkins and Amanda Sisson. Also four great-nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 4-6 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home in McCaysville.
