Wilma Rose Brown, 95 of Morganton, GA, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Union County Nursing Home.
Wilma was born December 12, 1914 in Young Harris, GA, to the late James Tilman Cheek and Lillie Burrell Cheek. She was a member of Woods Grove Baptist Church and loved gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roscoe Brown, sisters, Bessie Mae Meeler, Ruby Nelson and Lenora Wright, brothers, J.T. Cheek and Wayne Cheek.
Surviving are her daughter & son-in-law, Louise Brown & Eugene Little of Morganton, GA, daughter, Reva Jennings of Cumming, GA, sister, Geneva Gantt of Cramerton, NC, sister, Lougene Lance of Blairsville, grandson, Brian Little and grandson & wife, Bill & Teresa Little all of Gastonia, NC, grandson, Bruce Jennings, Jr., grandson & wife, Brent & Carrie Jennings and granddaughter, Rae Jennings all of Cumming, GA, great grandchildren, Victoria Little, Caleb Little and Alexandrea Little all of Gastonia, Brooks Jennings and Avery Jennings both of Cumming, GA, several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R.L. Martin and Rev. Tommy Jenkins officiating. Music will be provided by David Chatham. Serving as pallbearers are: Brian Little, Bill Little, Bruce Jennings III, Rae Jennings, Randy Cheek and Brent Jennings. Interment will follow in the Many Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
Friends will be received Wednesday, May 12, 2010 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, Blairsville, GA.
