Amy Lee Utz

Amy Lee Newcomb Utz, age 51 of McCaysville, GA passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at her home. Ms. Utz was born July 22, 1969 in West Islip, New York to Claire Elaine Thiele. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Utz. Amy was a certified dietary professional and a great cook; a very hard worker loved her children dearly and also loved music and college football. She was very patriotic and strong in her Christian Faith with extensive knowledge of the Bible. She was a loving, kind, and helpful person who will be missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Survivors include: daughter, Kimberly Ann Utz; sons, Keith Utz and Gary Utz; brother, Allen (Elaine) Newcomb; sister, Amber (Adam) Watson; uncle, Roger Thiele; fiancé, Timothy Reese, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services: Friday, April 23, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Sarasota National Cemetery 9810 SR 72 Sarasota, FL 34241 on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Pallbearers: Kimberly Ann Utz, Keith Utz, Gary Utz, Timothy Reese, Allen Newcomb, Roger Thiele, Elizabeth Rector, Amber Watson.
