Bernice S. Young

Bernice Stanley Young, age 90, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, in Ellijay, GA. Bernice was born August 9, 1932, in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Henry Stanley and the late Inez Stanley. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Young; son, Robert Young; brothers, Warren Stanley; Hugh Stanley; Larry Stanley; and Harold Stanley; and sisters, Ruth Middleton, Mildred Cornett, Bonnie May, and Ella Jean Stanley.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Libby) Young; grandchildren, Chris young, Neil (Heather) Young, and Lorrena (Abric) Wallace, great-grandchildren, Austin (Stacey) Young, Reagan Young (Josh) Teague, Rachel (Justin) Smith, and McKinley Young; and great great-grandchildren, Carter Young, Maci Young, Morgan Smith, and Skylan Smith.
She was a member of Blue Ridge Church of Christ and she worked and retired from Levi Strauss, Van Raalte, and Wendy's; with over 20 years of service at each one. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregiving staff at Manor Lake in Ellijay, GA.

Funeral Service, on Saturday July 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Blue Ridge Church Of Christ with Minister David Mullins officiating. Music leader, Bruce Pack. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Austin Young, Chris Young, Neil Young, James Young, Junior Young, and Josh Teague.

The family will receive friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Friday, 14th of July, 2023, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Bernice will lie in state at the Blue Ridge Church of Christ on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the Stanley Cemetery.
