C. J. Tipton

C. J. Tipton, age 76 of Blue Ridge, passed away April 28, 2020, in Blue Ridge, GA. Mr. Tipton was born May 18, 1943, in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Claude M. Tipton and the late Jessie Kendall Tipton. Mr. Tipton was an avid gardener who loved working with his antique tractor and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting arrowheads, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed keeping up with sports as well as an Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and Georgia Bulldogs fan. Mr. Tipton loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: wife, Helen Tipton, sons, Ricky (Sandra) Tipton, and Sam (Sandra Brooks) Tipton, brothers, Jewell (Martha Ann) Tipton, Wilburn (Carolyn) Tipton, and Joe (Lisa) Tipton, sister, Janice (Ray) Davis, grandchildren, Monty Tipton, Stephen Tipton, and Sarah Tipton, and great-grandchild, Morgan Jade Tipton.

Graveside services: Sunday, May 3, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the Salem # 1 Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Davenport and Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Pallbearers: Sam Tipton, Monty Tipton, Stephen Tipton, Scott Searce, Charlie Williams, and John Alleva.
