Cynthia Blackwell Burdette

Cynthia Burdette, age 68, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in Blue Ridge, GA. Cynthia was born February 26, 1954, in Warrenton, VA to the late Clinton Mackenzie Burdette, Sr. and the late Winnie Lou Johnson Burdette. After her first birthday, her family moved to Decatur, GA and then when she was three, to LaGrange, where they lived from 1957 until 1968, and afterwards, they moved to Sarasota, FL. Cynthia attended High School at Forman High Prep School in Connecticutt and she has lived in Atlanta, Miami, Lakeland, and Blue Ridge. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Candice McCue; sister, Anne Burdette; brother, Clinton Mackenzie Burdette Jr; grandchildren, Damian (Kailee) McCue, Lucas (Haylee) Nix, and Alicia Nix; great-grandchild, Kyler James Samuel McCue; nephew, Jeremy (Alexandra) Burdette; and niece, Elizabeth Burdette. Family will travel to carry out Cynthia’s wishes.
