Miss Elizabeth Seagraves Fowler, of Blairsville, GA (Libby) died Wednesday August 27, 2020 at Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville after a brief illness.

A special thank you to the nursing staff and aides who gave Libby such special and wonderful care. You know who you are. To Dr. Schoeffler- Thank you for your kindness. Libby was an avid football fan who loved Purdue football and the Miami Dolphins. When she was younger, she and her family never missed going to a home game at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She was a lover of the Indy 500 and never missed a race until this year's race when she was too ill to watch. She loved everything about racing, but only in the Indy racing cars were involved. Libby was a sweet and kind soul, she will be so missed by her family and the people who truly knew her. She was an active member in St. Claire's Episcopal Church. Miss Fowler was born July 18 1948 in Layfayette IN, to the late James M. Fowler and Elizabeth Evans Fowler of Lafayette, IN. She was also preceded in death by a sister Lissa Alice Fowler of Kentfield, CA. Survivors include her sister, Leslie Ruffner and nieces Anne Ruffner, Liz Ruffner, and Dr. Paula Boyle all living in Blairsville and a brother James M. Fowler of Kentfield, CA and cousins in Texas. No services are planned in Blairsville. She will have a grave yard memorial at the Fowler plot in Lafayette IN to be determined at a later date.
