Gertrude Nicholson Hyde

Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Hyde, age 92, of Morganton, Georgia, who passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, in Claremore, OK.  She was born October 31, 1929, in Towns County, Georgia, to the late Hubert Nicholson and Della Eller Nicholson.  Mrs. Hyde was a Star Creek Baptist Church member and loved to sing and testify.  Gertrude was a pastor's wife and enjoyed serving alongside her late husband, Rev. A.E. Hyde.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Thompson.

Gertrude is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and James Bruce, grandchildren, Mary Borges, Joanna Dyer, James Bruce, great-grandchildren, Andrew Dyer, Nathan Borges, Anna Borges, Aaron Borges, Jackson Bruce, and Madelynn Bruce.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Moss and Rev. Ketron Moss officiating.  Music will be by Katherine Suit and Jonathan Thompson.  Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park.
