The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory announces a Gathering of Remembrance for Gwendolyn Ledford Penland, age 75 of Blairsville who passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020.

Gwen's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, but especially by her family: devoted husband of 31 years, Larry Gene Bass; daughter & son-in-law, Jennifer & Mark Carter; brother, Monroe Ledford; brother & sister-in-law, Cranval & Janice Ledford; sisters & brothers-in-law, Evelyn & Sherwin Crews, Mary Jo & Horace Martin, and Dwayne & James Max Evans; grandson, Davis Carter and his wife, Erin;father & mother-in-law, Don & Delores Bass; sister-in-law, Lana Vestal(Frank); brother-in-law, Lynn Bass(Hannah); and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Ralph Ledford & Mattie Lee (Kitchens) Ledford; brothers, Lowell Ledford, Aaron Alonzo Ledford, James Anthony "Tony" Ledford, and Eugene Ledford; and sister-in-law, Laura Goff (Bill).

A Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Cochran Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
