Helen Marie Harford

Helen Marie Harford, 79, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at home among her family. Helen was born April 26, 1943, in Aurora, IL and was the loving daughter of the late Edward and Marie DeLach. 

Devoted mother to Joseph (Judy) Owoc and Julie (Anthony) Malone; beloved wife to Robert Harford; proud grandmother to Alison, Patrick and Thomas Owoc, and Brenden and Kaitlyn Malone; loving sister to Mary (late John) Lavrich, Charmayne (late William) Baldwin, Joan Kopp, Edward (Patty) DeLach, Claudette (Dave) Papenberg and Annette Massee; special sister-in-law to Linda (late John) Theaker; dear stepmom of Natalie Roche and the late Neil Marshall; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Helen was best known for her smile and kindness, her love of needlepoint, delicious and beautifully decorated cakes, her impeccable sewing skills, and bringing laughter and joy to people as a clown.

A memorial will be held to honor and celebrate Helen's life in Illinois, where she lived for over 70 years. Details to be announced later.
