Rev. James "Jim" Gray

Rev. James "Jim" Gray, age 88, of Murphy, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was at the  North East Georgia Medical Center in Braselton. James was born May 4, 1934, in Memphis, TN, to the late Fitzhugh and Willie Bradberry Gray. 

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie May Peters Gray, and his sister, Mildred Gray Kirkwood.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Rick lee Gray and Susan Gray, his special friends Mike and Martha Bradberry, Kathy and Tony Graham, and several nieces and nephews who also survive.

Mr. Gray served in the United States Marine Corps and was a 33 rd degree Mason.

He was a former pastor of Culberson Baptist Church and loved motorcycle racing, road rodeos, farming, and flying. 

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Friendship Baptist Church in Culberson.
