Janice Anderson-Johnson Collie

Janice Anderson Johnson Collie, age 84, resided in Blairsville, GA for the last 20 years, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023. Janice was born July 25, 1938, in Reidsville, NC to the late James Marvin Johnson and the late Annie Reeves Johnson. Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Johnson. 

She is survived by her husband, David Collie; sons James (Cindy) Collie and Christopher (Mary Ann) Collie; sisters, Gracie Ann (Robert) Durham and Peggy (Dale) Gammon; grandchildren, Kayla Collie, Avery Collie, Laurel Collie Smith, Jabril Collie, and Christopher Brown, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a 1956 graduate of Ruffin High School in Ruffin, N.C., where she met David. She was an amazing woman who loved cooking, sewing, singing and playing the piano. She truly loved the First Baptist Church in Blairsville and was a very active member. She was also a great mother, sister, and friend to so many. She will be truly missed.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at The Rock Chapel of First Baptist Church of Blairsville with Dr. Fred Lodge officiating. Interment will take place Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

The family will receive friends at The Rock Chapel of First Baptist Church of Blairsville, Tuesday, 17th of January 2023, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
