Morganton

Jeffrey Alan Ciesco, 65, of Griffith, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family in Morganton, GA. Jeffrey was born November 25, 1956, in East Chicago, IN to Richard Ciesco and Rita Ciesco.

Jeffrey graduated from Griffith High School in 1975 where he met the love of his life, Karen. He enjoyed playing football, baseball, hockey, and track. He briefly attended Indiana University Bloomington.

Jeffrey worked in the beer industry as a beer haulin' man, and later, as a beer salesman and a sales manager for Calumet Brewing, Central Distributing, Miller Brewing Company, Melanie Brewing, Florida Brewing, and Skyland Distributing. He also was a consultant for several smaller craft beer companies in the southeast.

Jeffrey's passion was hunting. He hunted waterfowl all over the country in Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska, and Arkansas and he went annually to Riverton, Manitoba with his many friends. He also loved his many dogs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Ciesco, and his mother, Rita Ciesco. He is survived by Karen, his wife of 42 years; his son, Marc (Monica) Ciesco; his brothers, Tim (Janice) Ciesco and Gene Ciesco; and his sister, Beth Ciesco; as well as his numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He dearly loved his family and friends. He was always the life of the party and he knew how to bring out the absolute best in everyone around him. He knew how to have a great time and he knew how to make people smile. He had an infectious spirit and a contagious laugh.

Jeffrey did not want a formal funeral or memorial service. He wanted a day of celebration instead. To honor his wishes, we will be offering two different events to celebrate the joy that Jeff brought to each of our lives.

We will be offering a day of celebration at Jeffrey and Karen's house in Morganton, GA on Saturday September 10, 2022 as well as on Hilton Head Island, SC on Saturday October 8, 2022.

If interested, please contact his son, Marc, at 219-718-6620 or email him at ciescokid91827@gmail.com for further information or questions. Please RSVP by August 15, 2022.

In lieu of flowers or gifts to the family, Jeffrey would want donations made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or your local Humane Society.
