John Hall

John Hall of Murphy passed away February 2, 2023. He is 86 Years old, The son of James R. Hall and Ada Hall of Murphy.

John is now in the presence of Jesus, his Lord and Savior. All that knew him, also know that he witnessed for Jesus continually to all he met, friends, family as well as strangers his entire life. John was never ashamed of Jesus before men, so Jesus will not be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father (Mark 8:38). He was kind and truly loved.

I could write many pages about our precious John, yet his love for Jesus, family and fellow man overshadows them all. He was kind, honest, and hardworking. He worked on many jobs over the years as well as farming. He cared for and protected our mother for many years.

In addition to father and mother, John was preceded in death by brothers: George, Sherdian, Charlie, and Jim; sisters: Bonnie, Mary, Virginia; niece: Sarah James. Many other dear relatives and friends are greeting him in glory.

He is survived by his sister Betty Dockery, brother Gordon Hall, nieces, nephews, and etended family.

Pallbearers: George Hall, Jimmy Hall, Thomas James, James Dockery, Jeff Hall, Will Hall. Honary Pallbearers: Glen Crowe, Verl Roberts, Glen Roberts, Nic Smith, Zachary Smith, Mike Bryant, Christian Poole.

Funeral with family will be Sunday, Febuary 5, 2023 at Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with Rev. Eddis Dockery officiating. Music by Debbie Davis and Patric Neely Family.

Visitation 12-1, Funeral 1-2. Burial at Unaka Baptist Cemetery.
