Linda Giles

Linda Lou Giles, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born in Hall County, Ga on September 26, 1946, to the late Roy and Lorene Gooch.

Survivors include her children, Ken (Stacy) Giles of Homer, Ga; Tammy (Duane) Stephenson of Cleveland, Ga; Susan (Jason) Karnes of Blairsville, Ga; Grandchildren, Chris Giles, Stephen Giles, Caleb Giles, Austin Giles, Caroline Karnes, Jayden Karnes, and Parker Karnes. Great-Grandchildren, Addyson Giles, Walter Giles, Grant Giles, Ivey Grace Giles, Warryn Giles, and Everett Giles. Siblings, Frances Armour (Gene), Jimmy Gooch, Bradley (Judy) Gooch, Denise Purcell, and Kathy Hulsey. Brother-in-law, Doug (Rebecca) Giles. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, William Walter Giles.

Linda, also known as "Momma" and "Meemaw" to those closest to her, was loved and cherished by all who had the pleasure to know her. She loved her Jesus and her family more than anything. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed time with family, vacations (especially trips to Gatlinburg), cooking, volunteering in her community, and always putting others before herself. She is loved by many and will be missed immensely.

Funeral Service, Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, Blairsville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Laurel Hills Memory Gardens, Young Harris, Georgia. 

The Family will receive friends on November 2, 2022, from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, Blairsville, Georgia.
