Marsha Diane Kipling

November 13, 1947 — August 22, 2020

Marsha Diane Kipling, age 72, went to be with God and the angels on Saturday, August 22, 2020 after battling the pain and suffering of multiple myeloma. She is now with her little brother Barry, her parents, Viola and Cecil Kipling, and a host of others who have gone before her. Marsha leaves behind her long-time friend, Sharon Meek, brother and sister-in-law Gary and Jane Kipling, her nieces Sarah Lightner, Emily Agone, and Abby Kipling, and a host of other family members.
Marsha had a wonderful life as a teacher of the Deaf at the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf for 36 years. As one friend said, “She not only brought words to the deaf, but instilled love, hope, and a sense of worth to all.” Marsha loved children and at any gathering young children would flock to her side to play with her. She had a way of showing each child that they were special and listened to their every thought. As one great nephew on Sharon’s side of the family said, “Marsha was the best hugger.” Marsha also had this knack with adults as well. She was a Stephen’s Minister, and helped many a person get through difficult times in a loving and compassionate way.
After retirement, Marsha and Sharon moved to the mountains of north Georgia, to the beautiful Cherry Log area. Marsha was a member of Cherry Log Christian Church and for many years, documented the life of the church, the members, and their activities through lens of her camera. As someone said, “Her camera focused on the goodness of life and finding the best in all of us.” Marsha will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and love for everyone.
Marsha, rest now in the arms of God and know that your life was a gift to so many. You will forever be in our hearts and cause us to live a life as loving as yours.
A Celebration of Marsha’s life will be planned at a future time.
