Martha Penhale Cuthbert
November 26, 1939 — October 27, 2020
The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces Memorial Services for Martha Penhale Cuthbert, age 80 of Blairsville who passed away on Tuesday morning, October 27, 2020 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. After an extended illness, Martha gained her wings and is in heaven with her Lord and Savior.
Martha owned her own business, Apollo Components, an electronics manufacturer for the Apollo rocket mission, and a buyer for a large hotel chain. She loved riding motorcycles and traveling with the love of her life, Bryan. She loved coloring greeting cards for her friends and family, watching bird and deer outside on the porch, the fall season, her home in the North Georgia Mountains, and most of all, her family. We love you to the moon and back!
Martha leaves behind to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 28 years, Bryan Cuthbert; children, Pamela (Paul) Schutzenhoffer, Debbie (Randy) Jefferies, Warren (Angel) Cuthbert, Kristina Carhart, Donnie (Micki) White, and Paula (Mike) Johnson; sisters, Jane Phillips and Jennie (Harry) Miller; and sister-in-law, Lois Wiley. Also, sharing in her legacy are 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 31 years, Richard Stone; her parents, Jack Arthur Penhale and Viola Merrick Penhale; and 4 siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Aud Brown officiating. The family will gather with friends from 11 a.m. until the service begins.Interment will follow at Union Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a monetary donation, which will be used to benefit the Nurses, Staff, and Residents of Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Donations can be made via paypal through the following link
