Michael Lancaster

Michael Keith Lancaster passed away in Blairsville Georgia, on January 14, 2023 after a brief battle of liver cancer. Michael spend part of the year in Fort Myers Florida and the other part in Blairsville which he loved. Michael was born in Detroit on June 28, 1952 to Louise and Jack Lancaster. Michael married his high school sweetheart, Mary Louise DeRush, on October 27, 1972. On October 27, 2022 they celebrated 50 years of marriage.They were blessed with two children Christopher (Teri) and Jennifer. Michael has 6 grandchild three grandson Caleb, Cameron and Christopher and three grandaughters Tilar, Chloe and Riane, who he loved dearly. Michael is survived by his older brother Patrick (Terry), younger sisters Jackie Frank ( Glenn) and Mira Lancaster. Mike was truly a family man who loved his family. Another love was cars and he was always fixing something or doing some kind of home improvement. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him.
