Patricia Robinson

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces Funeral Services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Robinson, age 89, of Blairsville, who passed away on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville.

Patricia was born on August 14, 1931 to Phillip B. and Ruby Duffee in Atlanta, Georgia. Pat sought careers that would allow her to fulfill her desire to help others and impact the youth of her community. She had been a school bus driver in Cobb County. In Blairsville, Pat served as an instructor with special needs adults at Trackrock Industries. She was active in her faith and a member of Vinings First Baptist Church.

Pat loved cooking for her family. Her home was full for Holiday and Sunday dinners even though, she "wasn't going to do it again next week"! They will always remember the taste of her famous fish, grits, and hush puppies. With patience and a steady hand, she would sit in her chair and quilt or craft the most beautiful items to give away to family and friends. Pat was always looking for her next project. In her younger days, She grew big gardens, flowers, and plants- some for beauty, but most to can or freeze for later. She loved visiting the beach and going to the Dollar Tree. She was funny, always spoke her mind, and always gave advice on what you should do and specifically how to do it!

Family members left behind to treasure her memory are: son, Michael P. Robinson, daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Stanley Garrett; her beloved dog, Sweet Molly. Also sharing in her legacy are eight grandchildren: Ethan Martin (Brittany), Eli Martin (Lydia Peugh), Trina Robinson, Ashley Reece (Brent), Candace Steele (Rich), Caleb Garrett, and Corey Garrett (Alexis); six great grandchildren: Stokley Martin, Kori Raye Martin, Reilly Reece, Xander Reece, Tripp Steele, King Steele, and Sailor Steele; and special nieces, Cindy Hambrick and Cile Stone. Besides her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Eugene Robinson; two daughters: Terry Boyd, and Debbie Jean Robinson; and three siblings: Barbara Stanley, P.B. "Phillip" Duffee, Jr., and Gwen Wilbur.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Truelove officiating. Special music will be presented by Abby and Chloe Hambrick. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Wayne Stone officiating at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Ethan Martin, Eli Martin, Caleb Garrett, Corey Garrett, Blake Summers and Grant Summers. Honorary escort to the family will be Terry Stover, Craig Jones, Wayne Stone, Jimmy Hambrick, Caleb Martinez and Andre Martinez.
